This blessed night marks the revelation of the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The Quran says: "The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months..." (Ch.97:v.3)

Aisha (RA) asked Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), "If I know which night is Laylat al-Qadr, what should I supplicate in it?" He said, “Say: "O Allah, You are the Most Forgiving and You love to forgive, so forgive me." [Reported by At-Tirmidhi]
